Results from world cup - CAF qualification 2nd round games played today

The games for the second round of the world cup qualification held across africa today gave us a few surprises and some expected results.

Madagasca who were home played a 2:2 draw with senegal. Faneva Randrianiaina scored Madagasca's first goal at the 27th minute, 20 mins later Njiva Rakotoharimala made it 2 nil. Senegal's Moussa Konate got one back for the visitors at the 70th minute. Sadio Mane levelled the score line at the 80th minute mark.
Comoros surprisingly held ghana to a 0:0 tie, the result was not expected as Ghana were clear favourites to win the game.

Kenya won 1:0 at home to Cape Verde, with the lone goal scorer being Micheal Olunga.

Libya got a 48th minute penalty against Rwanda. The match ended 1:0.

Angola lost 1:3 to 10 man South Africa. Angola's Gerson put the home team ahead 3 minutes into the game, on the 11th minute, Tokelo Rantie levelled the game. Thasanqa Gabuza scored at 21st minute to put the visitors ahead, Andile Jali score on the 82nd minute to make it 1:3 and got a red card one minute later.

Cameroon thrashed Niger 3 nil away from home. Goals from Stephan M'Bia(36th min), Vincent Aboubaka (39th min), and Edgar Salli (40th min).

Liberia lost 1 nill to Ivory Coast with Gohi Bi Cyriac scoring the only goal of the game.

Oumar N'Diaye got the only goal for Mauritania in the 22nd minute. Wahbi Khazri (61st min) and Yassine Chikhaoui (68th min) both scored for Tunisia with the game ending 1:2.

Nigeria manage a 0:0 draw against Swazilland.

These are all first leg encounters, the winner over two legs will move on to the next round.
